Kate Wilson

Kate Wilson is an AHPRA-registered Provisional Psychologist and combined Clinical Psychology Masters and Doctor of Philosophy (Psychology) student. She has completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours).

Kate is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).

Kate’s Approach

Kate draws primarily from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with a trauma-informed approach. With a focus on creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, Kate helps clients manage their emotions, cope with distress, and build meaningful lives. She emphasises mindfulness, acceptance, and values-based living while being sensitive to the impact of trauma. Kate’s compassionate and collaborative style empowers clients to navigate their emotional landscapes and achieve their personal goals.

Work History & Special Interests

Kate has experience working with adolescents and adults seeking support with a range of personal difficulties. These include symptoms of anxiety and depression, relationship and interpersonal issues, adjustment challenges, experiences of trauma, challenges with emotional regulation and those who seek personal growth and discovery.

Kate has completed EMDR training and is currently engaged in long-term training for the provision of animal assisted therapies.
